Ambiance and environment

The land and unspoilt nature around the estate are royally impressive. The island of Schouwen-Duiveland has long been known as Zeeland's crown. Long, outstretched beaches, broad dunes and characteristic villages combine to a unique landscape. The lively seaside town Renesse is nearby, but at a quietly ‘safe' distance, and the North Sea and Grevelingen lake offer many recreational facilities. The Lockershof combines quiet countryside, extensive facilities and a hospitable ambiance to create the impression of being almost in a different century.
